Your immune system protects your body from diseases and infections. If you have a healthy and strong immune system, you can live a healthy life without fear of getting sick. But if you have a weak immune system, it is a matter of concern. You should try everything you can do to improve your immune system. Viruses, bacteria and other microorganisms sometimes fail your immune system and make you sick. This mostly happens with those people who have weak immune system.

There are so many factors that can make your immune system weak. Some are listed below-

  • Inadequate sleep – If you don’t have adequate sleep, it may result in excess of stress hormone in your body. Excess of stress hormone affects your immune system badly. It may also cause inflammation in your body. You should sleep for at least 8 hours every night. Your adequate sleep will improve your health and your immune system also.
  • Imbalanced diet – If you don’t take balanced diet, you can’t be healthy. Balanced diet means a diet including all the vital nutrients and minerals. You should eat more vegetables and fruits that are rich in vitamin A, Vitamin B6, Vitamin C, Vitamin D and E. Also, you should eat vegetables that contain zinc. You should eat citrus fruits, berries, apples, carrots, sweet potatoes, onions, and spinach to boost your immune system. Garlic is also good for immune system.
  • Consuming alcohol in excess – Alcohol is bad for your health. If you consume excess of alcohol, it will make your immune system weak and make your body vulnerable to diseases and infections. You should avoid alcohol to make your body and immune system strong and healthy.
  • Smoking – Tobacco smoking is really injurious to your health. Smoking not only affects your respiratory organs but also affects your immune system. If you want to have a healthy and fit body, you should avoid tobacco smoking.
  • Being isolated – If you feel isolated and because of this you are upset, it will surely affect your health. Healthy, active and happy people live more. You should meet your friends and go out with them to be happy. If you will be happy, surely anxiety and stress will not catch you and you can lead a happy life.
